US Smokeless Tobacco Co. in Kentucky seeks a Maintenance Unit Leader (Supervisor) to guide a manufacturing team on 3rd shifts at Hopkinsville. You will drive maintenance, safety, and reliability initiatives, aligning resources to production goals.

This role emphasizes coaching, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires an associate degree or a 4-year apprenticeship with 3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, particularly electrical maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR four (4) year state approved apprenticeship and at least three (3) years relevant leadership experience is required.
• In lieu of the education requirement, a candidate can qualify with five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing or relevant leadership role.
• You possess relevant experience in electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for managing resources and staffing levels within the unit to meet production, compliance, team and project objectives or goals.
• You will determine and provide for team and individual development based on the needs of the business and sustain problem solving, continuous improvement and decision-making skills.
• You will seek mentoring opportunities with teams and individuals for performance improvement, administering rewards, recognition, and consequences when appropriate.
• You'll develop and monitor key measures with your team to link unit performance to factory objectives.
• You will coordinate troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and planned maintenance activities with team members and support resources to meet schedules.
• You will develop and share meaningful information to support problem solving and process improvement efforts.
• Balance multiple and changing priorities and make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal supervision.
