Job summary

Mott Corporation in Farmington, CT seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment uptime and facility reliability. This hands‑on role supports preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and continuous improvement while partnering with production and support functions.

The position reports to Maintenance Manager and offers a 3rd shift (11pm–7am) with a 15% differential and hourly compensation between $35 and $38 per hour. Eligible for a performance bonus plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience maintaining PM systems (LIMBLE or similar).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, documentation, recordkeeping, and NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preventive maintenance (PM) system and spare parts inventory.
• Perform furnace and equipment rebuilds to prevent unscheduled downtime.
• Collect and analyze equipment data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Plan and execute maintenance repairs and projects, including coordination with external service providers.
• Support installation, repair, and maintenance of machines, furnaces, and facility systems.
• Lead assigned continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor employee performance and maintain training competency.
• Ensure adherence to safety processes and procedures.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and safety.
