Job summary

Crown Battery Mfg. in Fremont, OH seeks a General Maintenance Technician (GMT) for 2nd shift to maintain plant equipment and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

The GMT will troubleshoot, implement equipment improvements, and collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors; must be able to work unsupervised, lift up to 75 pounds, and handle weekend shifts when required. This role offers exposure to robotics and maintenance planning within a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• General maintenance knowledge.
• General knowledge of 480-volt 3ph. Electricity.
• General understanding of PLC controls, logic, and programming.
• Familiarity with company, facility, departments, equipment, procedures, and set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and basic maintenance, adjustments, set-ups and repairs on all production and facility equipment.
• May work irregular hours and weekends as production and maintenance needs dictate.
• Assist with plant shutdowns and start-ups.
• Responsible for parts and material requisition.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in planning and decision-making process.
• Be familiar with the Crown Quality System and related objectives.
• Identify and report product, process and quality non-conformities.
