Job summary

Quality Packaging (Qual Pac) in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair packaging equipment, electrical systems, and related facilities. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include battery/charger maintenance, reading schematics, and timely repairs. A strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and good communication are essential to support our team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 5 years experience recommended.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CMMS software (Preventive Maintenance/Work Order systems).
• Understanding encoders and equipment timing.
• Knowledge of servo drives and motors.
• VFD operation and configuration.
• Some college helpful; Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment.
• Document maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Select repair parts and update parts records.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related warehouse components.
• Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and related equipment.
• Read schematics, drawings, and manuals to guide service work.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and maintain a clean work area.
