Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Waukesha, WI. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

You will use hand and power tools, read schematics, and follow GMP/SQF/FSMA guidelines to ensure safe, efficient operations. You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts, complete PMs and time sheets, and support safety training and inspections.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years journey-level experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Basic PLC operation knowledge.
• Follows GMP, SQF, FSMA and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Uses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic skills to repair equipment and follow specifications.
• Utilizes standard mechanic’s tools; uses calipers, feeler gauges, and micrometers as needed.
• Completes safety, GMP and SQF training; participates in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Signs off on work orders and PM sheets; records labor and maintenance data.
• Maintains radio communication with planner scheduler, foremen and supervisors.
• Operates shop tools (lathe, drill press) to repair or fabricate parts.
• Adheres to food safety policies and regulatory criteria (SQF, GMP, FSMA).
• Performs other duties as assigned; travel may be required.
