Job summary

Ventura Foods in Waukesha, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery in our food packaging and processing lines. This onsite, second-shift role supports production by reducing downtime and keeping equipment in optimal condition under food-safety policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 2 years in a food plant, and basic knowledge of packaging or processing equipment, HVAC or hydraulics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing plant.
• Basic knowledge of packaging/processing equipment, HVAC or hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and emergency maintenance on food packaging/processing equipment to maximize machine up-time.
• Completes scheduled preventative maintenance and work orders to increase asset life.
• Troubleshoots and resolves minor mechanical/electrical issues.
• Rebuilds pumps, mills, gearboxes and other mechanical components.
• Assists Production Machine Operators in troubleshooting equipment problems.
• Supports changeovers and machine setups to increase skill level within production.
• Supports the SQF Program and promotes food safety.
