Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Green Bay facility, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure safe, efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, install and repair machinery, and support facility systems while mentoring less experienced teammates.

The role requires reading schematics, basic math, and a strong safety mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement. 3rd shift includes Sunday–Thursday nights with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Automation or related discipline, or 8+ years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• 2–4 years of maintenance experience involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC systems, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with lubrication, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, unplanned and emergency maintenance on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment following safety procedures.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess equipment reliability.
• Read electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to complete tasks.
• Install new equipment and assist with changeovers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures to minimize downtime.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain facility systems such as HVAC, boilers, and basic plumbing.
• Document repairs and maintenance in standard procedures and communicate status to management.
