Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is hiring a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician to perform planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment. The role requires reading schematics, performing electrical/mechanical work, and supporting installation and startup of new systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade or technical school training is preferred (electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.).
• 2–4 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC).
• Experience with industrial equipment including material handling, motor/relay/process controls, lubrication, cleaning, and packaging systems.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
• Multi-Craft mechanical experience preferred.
• Certifications and/or licenses must be obtained as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure reliability.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and work orders.
• Support installation and startup of new equipment.
• Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete and document work orders accurately and on time.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment safely.
• Communicate equipment issues to operations and management.
