Job summary

This role involves electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, machine overhauls, and installations to keep production running smoothly.

The position starts at $28 per hour and increases with experience; requires strong safety discipline and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an associate degree in a technical field or 8+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience.
• 2 to 4 years of maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, and HVAC systems, preferably in manufacturing.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Additional certifications or licenses may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment following safety procedures.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess equipment reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to complete maintenance tasks.
• Install new equipment and assist with equipment changeovers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures to minimize downtime.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Service HVAC, boilers, water softeners, and basic plumbing as needed.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities in work orders.
