Job summary

Caterpillar in DeSoto, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift, onsite role focused on repairs and preventive maintenance of production equipment and facilities.

You will use hand and power tools for carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and HVAC tasks, document work orders, and support CI projects while collaborating with diverse teams. This role offers full-time hours and site-based benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Experience with lift equipment and forklifts.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to document maintenance activities and log work orders.
• Willingness to work in a 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and HVAC repairs.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs for production equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and general building tasks.
• Follow safety, quality and regulatory standards in all work.
• Assist senior technicians and log maintenance activities.
