Job summary

Caterpillar Mapleton Facility is seeking a Machine Repair Mechanic on the 2nd or 3rd shift. You will inspect equipment, plan repairs, read blueprints, and perform layout and fabrication tasks.

You will operate drills, lathes, mills and other shop equipment while ensuring safety and quality in a heavy manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, a technical degree, and the ability to weld, cut, solder and braze.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Able to pass a 2-hour skills exam.
• Strong mechanical background and machine shop experience.
• Welding, cutting, soldering and brazing skills are a plus.
• Willing to work on 2nd or 3rd shift in Mapleton.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance pipefitting on all equipment.
• Changes, sets up, and adjusts equipment as required.
• Lubricates or directs others to lubricate equipment.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains pumps.
• Uses hydraulic equipment and general shop tools.
