Job summary

Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Kansas City, MO seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and rebuild tube mill equipment on third shift. You will diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical issues, read schematics, and maintain safety standards across a fast-paced plant.

Candidates should have 5+ years in heavy manufacturing, strong hydraulics/pneumatics/PLC knowledge, and the ability to work on complex systems with precision tools. OT and safety training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in heavy manufacturing maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade training preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and precision measuring devices.
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting in a safety-focused setting.
• Able to pass employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment following safety procedures.
• Verify guards and safety devices are functional before operation.
• Monitor parts and supplies; place orders and verify receipts.
• Use CMMS to track, inspect, and report equipment status.
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and quality issues; escalate as needed.
• Perform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeovers.
• Operate hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs.
• Support safety improvements and report issues promptly.
