Zekelman Industries in Rochelle, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment. You will maximize equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield with emphasis on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting while following strict safety procedures.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in a heavy manufacturing environment, strong electrical aptitude, PLC familiarity, and ability to read technical drawings.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or journeyman training preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and reading technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including PLC familiarity.
• Ability to pass drug screening, employment physical, and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Perform electrical maintenance on equipment, following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality issues; perform breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Operate powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable cranes as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
