Job summary

Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure reliability, efficiency and safety of all plant equipment. You will supervise the maintenance team, coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance with 2+ years in supervision, and an associate degree or technical certification.

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
2+ years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.
Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Welding and fabrication experience, preferred.
Proven ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong commitment to safety with knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety best practices.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to support efficient daily operations.
Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production disruptions, coordinating emergency repairs as needed.
Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of required components.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance records.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
