Job summary

Atlas Tube, part of Zekelman Industries, is hiring a Tool Room Attendant in Kansas City, MO. You will support production by performing tooling setup, repair, and maintenance to keep mill operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in manufacturing, knowledge of roll forming and tooling systems, and experience with precision measurement tools. You’ll work third shift, stay safe, and coordinate with teams during changeovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• General knowledge of roll forming processes and tooling systems.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
• Ability to read and write tooling records and setup documentation.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting.
• Ability to operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, hydraulic equipment, cranes and forklifts.
• Experience with lathes, grinders and end mills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare tooling for production runs.
• Repair or replace worn tooling components.
• Ensure tooling is gauged per specifications using calibrated tools.
• Maintain tooling refurbishment records and inventory.
• Support mill changeovers and cooperate with production teams.
• Document work orders for equipment issues in a timely manner.
