Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Point of Rocks, MD, is hiring a Maintenance Technician I-III for 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am). You will perform preventive maintenance with emphasis on electrical components to keep production running and ensure equipment is safe and compliant.

The role requires mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic knowledge and welding skills, plus lockout/tagout proficiency. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, installing/moving machinery, and adhering to safety and housekeeping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Extensive mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Welding skills (stick/wire feed).
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and general maintenance to ensure production operations.
• Maintain electrical components and controls on site equipment.
• Install and move machinery as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures per OSHA and policy.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
