Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Point of Rocks, MD is seeking skilled maintenance technicians to sustain production. You will perform preventive and general maintenance with emphasis on electrical components, read blueprints, and support safe plant operation.

The role requires strong mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge, basic welding and electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently or in a team on a fast-paced, high-noise manufacturing floor. 2nd shift available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Extensive mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience.
• Able to perform basic stick and wire feed welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and general maintenance to ensure production continuity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls to keep equipment in safe, working order.
• Read blueprints and install/move machinery as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures per OSHA and company policies.
• Work both independently and as part of a team on a high-noise manufacturing floor.
