Job summary

Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive Shelby Twp division is seeking a Maintenance Technician Assistant for the 11pm–7am shift with a 15% premium. You will assist in maintaining and repairing production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in plant maintenance. Join an employee-owned team with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college or education in skilled trades preferred.
• 2 years of experience in plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNCs, washers, and assembly machines.
• Mechanically inclined with a desire to work on machinery.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in maintaining equipment in the manufacturing operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery and facility systems with experienced technicians.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Assist with press setups, machine adjustments, and improvement projects.
• Operate forklifts and man lifts after training.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
• Document maintenance activities using work orders.
