Job summary

Jobot is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician for our Akron, NY facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This hands-on role requires strong problem-solving skills and teamwork to keep production running smoothly. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance or millwright roles, reads schematics, and can handle welding, fabrication, and electrical panels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and rebuild skills.
• Experience with pumps, fluid systems and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Experience with 480V three-phase motors and control circuits.
• Welding, fabrication, and pipe fitting experience.
• Readiness to work at heights with proper fall protection.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including power transmission systems, pumps, and pneumatics.
• Diagnose electrical and control issues on production equipment (PLC experience is a plus).
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment rebuilds to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Use shop equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and grinders.
• Perform welding and fabrication work including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Create and close work orders within the CMMS system.
• Support plant safety initiatives and follow all safety and GMP requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience disassembling and rebuilding equipment
• Familiarity with pumps, fluid systems, and rotating equipment
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
• Experience troubleshooting 480V three phase electrical systems, motors, and control circuits
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and pipe fitting
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills including the use of meters and familiarity with NEC codes
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders, platforms, or lifts with proper fall protection
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work including climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling
