Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a qualified Maintenance Superintendent (3rd Shift) to join the Rockingham, North Carolina team. The Maintenance Superintendent manages the maintenance staff for a specific part of the plant and/or shift, focusing on reliability and uptime.

This opportunity offers a competitive base salary, a management incentive program, and excellent benefits. The role requires 3–5 years in maintenance/industrial engineering, experience with CAD operations and CMMS, and knowledge of USDA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
3–5 years related experience in maintenance, layout, drafting, project management, ergonomic design, industrial engineering.
Experience in CAD operation and knowledge of USDA requirements.
Proficient with CMMS to manage preventive maintenance and work orders.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing and directing the development of the maintenance work plan; assign methods and procedures.
Assist in recommending maintenance and operating procedures for new facilities during construction.
Develop new layout designs for equipment and processes; modify existing layouts as needed.
Prepare estimates of equipment, materials, supplies and labor; supervise repairs of building, mechanical, and structural systems.
Review completed work orders; help establish maintenance policies and standards.
