Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking an Automation Controls Technician for 3rd shift in Rockingham, NC. You will design, program, maintain, and optimize automated and robotic systems on the manufacturing floor to keep operations running reliably.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI and robotics skills, and familiarity with electrical/control systems. Certifications such as CAP or Fanuc-related are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in industrial automation, controls, PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong PLC/HMI and robotics knowledge, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Certifications such as CAP or Fanuc-related are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and implement automated control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in automated equipment.
• Maintain control systems, document changes and support safety compliance.
• Install and configure industrial robots and HMIs; program PLCs.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and mentor technicians.
