Job summary

TriMas Company LLC in Commerce, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic A for the 3rd shift. You will install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and related equipment across the manufacturing facility.

The role requires journeyman-level skills, ability to read blueprints, operate machine tools, and safely drive a forklift. You will contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read and write English in company shop documents and software entry requirements.
• Must be capable of applying mathematical operations using fractions, decimals, algebra and geometry as required by essential duties.
• Must operate all machines tools at a highly complex level as required by essential duties.
• Generally equivalent to journeyman trade school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery, tools and equipment to assure proper working condition.
• Dismantles defective machines, tools and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and related components.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure and appearance of the establishment.
