Job summary

Thunderbird Molding is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and prevent equipment failures in a metal production environment. You will support reliability of production machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and ability to read mechanical and electrical prints. Join our safety‑minded, team‑oriented plant setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance mechanic or similar role.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Basic welding and cutting skills.
• Basic knowledge of relay logic and motor control.
• Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and replaces defective parts.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Provides maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
