Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be educationally certified through a tech or trade school beyond High School.
• Proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Computer experience/PLC programming is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment.
• Plans and performs work requiring knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment following safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Advises operators and line mechanics on operation procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintains maintenance records for identified equipment.
• Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and training.
