Job summary

NOVARES in Prairie du Chien, WI, seeks a Technician Machine Setter for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am, Mon–Fri). Responsibilities include preparing tooling for quick changeovers, mounting tooling, and ensuring safe and reliable machine start-ups in a high-volume plastics production environment.

You will monitor processes, analyze anomalies, and provide technical tutoring to operators, while contributing to process improvements and lean initiatives to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Level 1-3: Guarantee and optimize the good working order of the machines in compliance with procedures (quality, reliability, cost, deadline, safety, environment).
• Level 2-3: Provide technical tutoring and training to operators and setters.
• Level 3: Participate in development and optimization of processes within the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tooling for quick changeovers and approve changeover checklists.
• Mount tooling and perform level 1 maintenance in line with safety.
• Launch manufacture with proper start-up checks and document results.
• Monitor process parameters and report anomalies to supervisor.
• Provide technical expertise and training to APU teams and operators.
• Participate in lean actions and continuous improvement within the zone.
