Job summary

Burton Mill Solutions, a division of Wood Technologies International, seeks a Machine Operator for 3rd shift (7pm–5am, Sun-Wed) at its Fountain Inn, SC facility. You will set up machines, change tooling, and inspect outputs to produce razor-sharp edges for the wood processing industry. You must read blueprints, perform quality checks, and document SPCs.

Forklift certification or ability to obtain it is required. Must lift up to 50 pounds and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel.
• Read industrial knife blueprints.
• Perform quality checks and record SPCs.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak and read English.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel
• Use calipers and micrometers, read fractions/decimals
• Read industrial knife blueprints and inspect work
• Perform quality checks and complete SPC charts
• Load/unload steel and manage coolant
• Maintain high sense of urgency and wear PPE
• Cross-train to other positions as needed
