Techmer PM in Batavia, IL is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift to operate manufacturing equipment and produce custom plastic compounds. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced production environment.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential, with training on 1st or 2nd shift before transition to the permanent 3rd shift scheduled by January 4. Benefits include medical, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Extrusion experience is highly desired.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications.
• Work safely to protect themselves, coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures.
• Engage in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of assigned tasks.
• Learn and understand key operating parameters to ensure in-spec and high-quality product.
