Job summary

PPG is seeking a Traffic Coordinator (2nd Shift) at the Oak Creek, WI plant to ensure efficient deliveries and improve customer satisfaction by following distribution procedures. You will design and evaluate transportation procedures, analyze freight costs, and coordinate with various teams to ensure on-time shipments.

This role reports to the Logistics Supervisor and requiresment on-site presence in Oak Creek.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of shipment experience in logistics/supply chain.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; able to create charts.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Familiarity with DOT/IMDG/IATA for dangerous goods.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments in the ERP system.
• Create BOLs for shipments and prepare hazardous papers.
• Coordinate daily with Final Inspection and Marketing/Customer Service for on-time deliveries.
• Process shipments on carrier sites for domestic and international destinations.
• Coordinate pickups with carriers and issue ASNs per requirements.
• Support Export Control on export shipments.
• Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
