Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. in Dubuque, IA seeks a Mechanic/Line Maintainer to operate and maintain high-speed metal can and ends production equipment.

You will run automated presses, perform quality checks, troubleshoot jams, and help keep lines productive and aligned with customer specs. Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of manufacturing experience, proficiency with micrometers and calipers, and a willingness to travel for training at other facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing experience.
• Competency in using micrometers, calipers and related equipment.
• Ability to travel for training at other locations.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain automated press equipment on high-speed lines.
• Perform quality checks aligned with customer requirements.
• Clear jams, report issues, and resume production quickly.
• Maintain production tally and tickets on lines.
• Sort defective product as needed.
• Relieve other plant staff as required.
• Use SPC and check sheets to track production issues.
