The balance involves researching root causes, guiding the Inventory Specialist, and proposing permanent corrective actions to supervisors and management. Location is North Jackson, OH, with a Monday–Friday night shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ Cycle Count or Inventory Coordination experience.
• Prior cross‑functional team building or meeting experience.
• Effective cross‑functional communication.
• Proficient in Excel and able to develop clear spreadsheets and reports.
• Must obtain lift certification within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes and forms.
• Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Reconcile and resolve any second inventory count records.
• Update ERP/WMS system with Count Results and related items.
• Maintain and report KPIs around first-pass accuracy.
• Ensure Root Cause Report is filled out by Inventory Control Specialist.
• Manage team to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline product flow and system scans.
• Set up and drive cross‑functional corrective action plans to eliminate root causes.

Job description

The Lead Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory accuracy in the facility. This position is a hands‑on position, and it’s estimated that approximately 50% of a typical day will be physically counting inventory, ensuring proper FEFO, Lot Code tracking, and assisting with operational issues. The remaining time will be spent researching root causes and/or working with Inventory Specialist reviewing their root cause findings and proposing and implementing permanent corrective actions to supervisory and management staff.

Location : 134 S Bailey Road, North Jackson, OH 44451

Schedule : Monday-Friday from 11pm to 7am

Position Responsibilities include, but not limited to

• Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes, and forms
• Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Reconcile and resolve any second inventory count records
• Update ERP/WMS system with Count Results and other items that affect inventory integrity
• Maintain and report KPIs around first-pass accuracy
• Ensue that Root Cause Report is being filled out by Inventory Control Specialist
• Manage Team effectively to maintain goal of 100% inventory accuracy
• Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline and simplify the flow of product and associated system scans
• Proactively set up and drive cross‑functional corrective actions plans to eliminate root causes identified and support the change process

Required Skills and Experience

• High school Diploma or GED
• 2+ years’ Cycle Count or Inventory Coordination experience
• Prior cross‑functional team building experience, or prior cross‑functional team meeting experience
• Effectively communicate cross‑functionally in a collaborative manner
• Proficient in Excel and able to develop clear and concise spreadsheets and reports
• Must Obtain lift certification within 30 days of start

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in a production environment
• Experience in a food production environment
