Job summary

Mom's Meals in North Jackson, OH seeks a Lead Inventory Control Specialist to ensure inventory accuracy through hands-on counting, FEFO and Lot Code tracking, and to support operational issues. You will split time between physical counts and root-cause analysis, partnering with Inventory Specialists to implement permanent corrective actions and drive continuous improvement in ERP/WMS data integrity.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 11pm–7am; employment is contingent on passing pre-employment drug

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of cycle count or inventory coordination experience.
• Experience building cross-functional teams or leading cross-functional meetings.
• Strong cross-functional communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel; able to develop clear spreadsheets and reports.
• Must obtain lift certification within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Lead Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory accuracy in the facility. This position is a hands-on position, and it’s estimated that approximately 50% of a typical day will be physically counting inventory, ensuring proper FEFO, Lot Code tracking, and assisting with operational issues. The remaining time will be spent researching root causes and/or working with Inventory Specialist reviewing their root cause findings and proposing and implementing permanent corrective actions to supervisory and management staff.

Location: 134 S Bailey Road, North Jackson, OH 44451

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 11pm to 7am

Position Responsibilities include, but not limited to

• Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes, and forms
• Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Reconcile and resolve any second inventory count records
• Update ERP/WMS system with Count Results and other items that affect inventory integrity
• Maintain and report KPIs around first-pass accuracy
• Ensue that Root Cause Report is being filled out by Inventory Control Specialist
• Manage Team effectively to maintain goal of 100% inventory accuracy
• Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline and simplify the flow of product and associated system scans
• Proactively set up and drive cross-functional corrective actions plans to eliminate root causes identified and support the change process

Required Skills and Experience

• High school Diploma or GED
• 2+ years’ Cycle Count or Inventory Coordination experience
• Prior cross-functional team building experience, or prior cross-functional team meeting experience
• Effectively communicate cross-functionally in a collaborative manner
• Proficient in Excel and able to develop clear and concise spreadsheets and reports
• Must Obtain lift certification within 30 days of start

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in a production environment
• Experience in a food production environment
