Job summary

Walman Optical is seeking an Associate Technician to support setup, operation, and maintenance of lab equipment in the production area. The role involves interpreting Rx work tickets, performing production tasks, and ensuring equipment functions correctly and safely.

Responsibilities include training others, maintaining clean work areas, and contributing to timely workflow while complying with safety and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a quickly changing environment.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment for daily production in the assigned area.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment per procedures.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and inform supervisor of remedies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and common department spaces.
• Follow all safety rules, confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
• Assist teammates and provide training when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
