Job summary

Siemens is seeking an IT Support Engineer for the 3rd shift to keep our on-site IT devices in top condition at the Grand Prairie and Alliance TX plants. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, manage inventories, and ensure security guidelines are followed.

Applicants should be hands-on, comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with TCP/IP knowledge, Windows PC support, and strong MS Office skills. On-site role with growth opportunities within Siemens Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT support in a fast-paced light manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP addressing, subnets, and default gateway.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
• Beginner knowledge of Microsoft Azure in a Large Enterprise Environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Experience supporting PCs running a Microsoft operating system.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site IT support to ensure IT devices (PCs, printers) are operational and up-to-date.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Provide frontline support to manufacturing site employees as first point of contact for IT queries.
• Maintain documentation of IT processes, procedures, and incident reports.
• Maintain inventory of IT hardware and ensure timely procurement and replacement of equipment and spare parts.
• Stay updated with Siemens IT and cybersecurity guidelines; conduct training sessions as needed.
