Siemens in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an end-user desktop support specialist for 2nd shift (4:00pm–12:00am) to support a large fleet of devices on the manufacturing shop floor and to deploy updates and features.

You will be the first line of contact for shop-floor technology issues, image computers with Siemens-provided images, and ensure IT devices comply with security guidelines while collaborating with a team.

Qualificações

• Two-year technical degree preferred; HS diploma or GED equivalency with 3–5 years enterprise MS support considered.
• Working knowledge of IT/OT networking (TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, NAT, etc.).
• Experience building and deploying PC images.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

We are seeking an end user desktop support individual who is enthusiastic about PC technology, features, and functions. This person will work 2nd Shift, the hours are from 4:00pm – 12:00am. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for a large number of devices deployed on our manufacturing shop floor. A significant portion of your time will be spent on the shop floor interacting with end users, supporting deskside issues, and deploying updates and new features and functions.

You will make an impact by:

• Ensuring all Siemens IT directed projects are successfully deployed without interrupting production.
• Ensuring all IT devices are compliant with Information Security and Cyber Security guidelines.
• Assisting end users with resolving technical issues.
• Imaging computers utilizing images provided by Siemens IT.
• Serving as the first point of contact for all shopfloor related technology issues.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• A two-year technical degree is preferred, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and 3-5 years’ experience supporting an enterprise wide Microsoft environment will be considered.
• Working knowledge of IT/OT Networking i.e. TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, NAT, etc.
• Experience building and deploying PC images
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Candidate is expected to manage his/her time and clearly show incidents are being managed.
• Good project planning skills
• Work well with a team.
• Preferred Certifications: Comptia A+ & Network+ and/or equivalent
• Desire to continuously learn and grow skill set.
• Physical labor is frequently required (e.g., carry PCs, access cables or equipment under a table, frequent trips to shop floor, ride in lift, etc.)
