Job summary

BD is seeking a maintenance technician for the 3rd shift (9:45pm–6:15am) at our Hunt Valley, MD site. You will perform set up, operation, and preventive maintenance on highly automated manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to GMP, safety policies, and on-site collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 2 years relevant experience required.
• Relevant fields include Electrical / Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician, Machine Builder/Repairer, Machinist, Refrigeration Mechanic, Welding Repairer.
• Proven ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, operation, maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of complex automated manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain production lines, monitor efficiency, and document quality and maintenance records.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and respond to equipment issues with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production supervision to improve equipment utilization.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and follow GMP and BD policies.
