Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a high-volume manufacturing facility in Swedesboro, NJ, on third shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and ensure safe, reliable operations.

The technician will diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related issues, perform overhauls or installations, and document work in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience involving industrial or manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, equipment manuals, and machine layout drawings.
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: Electrical systems, Mechanical systems, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Food-manufacturing process controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related problems.
• Complete or assist with major equipment overhauls, system rebuilds, and equipment installations.
• Work closely with production personnel and outside contractors to coordinate repairs and minimize operational disruptions.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance machinery.
• Accurately document completed work, equipment conditions, and maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and follow-up needs electronically with maintenance and production team members.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance work areas.
• Follow all GMP requirements, safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
