Job summary

American Wood Fibers is seeking a Third Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment at our Laurinburg, NC facility. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, PMs, and safe operation of machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include scheduled and emergency repairs, reading schematics, and maintaining equipment performance in a fast-paced setting. Must have basic tools and the ability to work independently on a 8- or 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• Mechanical and machinery background with exposure to high-speed equipment.
• Electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics knowledge.
• Basic welding experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Must have personal set of basic tools & be able to work outside when necessary.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment.
• Set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Repair bearings, drives, motors, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics on packaging and production lines.
• Repair o-road trailers and building fixtures as needed.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Operate mobile equipment safely (forklift, loader, yard jockey).
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety meetings.
