Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure optimal bakery line efficiency, with a strong focus on safety and preventive maintenance. The role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to rotate between bakery areas as needed.

Candidates should be able to operate SAP for parts checkout and data entry, follow environmental programs, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate safe work habits and proper tool usage.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and mechanical wear assessment.
• Ability to identify and replace drive and conveyor components.
• Experience using SAP for parts checkout and data entry.
• Possession of or ability to obtain licenses for boilers, refrigeration, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and general knowledge of support equipment.
• Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment.
• Identify mechanical wear and identify, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components.
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry.
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment.
