Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Lenexa, KS is seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to ensure optimum bakery efficiency. You will rotate assignments across areas, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to pursue ongoing training are required. The role involves climbing ladders and handling weights up to fifty pounds, with a focus on preventive maintenance and tool selection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical/Trade School certification is a plus.
• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field.
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool usage and general shop practices.
• Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Identify wear and replace drive and conveyor components.
• Use SAP for parts checkout, reporting, and data entry.
• Adhere to environmental and maintenance programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow company policies (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Possess or obtain licenses for boilers, refrigeration and related equipment.
