Job summary

Menasha Packaging is seeking dependable General Laborers / Machine Assistants for the overnight shift to support production operations. Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist as you help feed materials, set up equipment, and ensure quality across multiple departments.

You will work with balers, unitizers, and downstackers, perform quality checks, and maintain a safe, efficient production flow. The role offers steady overtime and a rotating schedule to fit business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operators during production runs and equipment setup.

• Remove, stack, sort, and organize corrugated products.
• Band, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Assist in production areas including Corrugator, Die Cut, and Joining departments.
• Operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, and downstackers.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Complete required production and inventory documentation.
• Help move materials and maintain production flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

About The Opportunity

The General Laborer supports manufacturing operations by assisting with machine setup, material handling, and production across multiple departments. This role involves feeding materials into equipment, stacking finished products, and preparing items for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met. Employees are cross trained in various areas and may operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, or down stackers. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment.

• Training Rate: $24.52 per hour
• Qualified Rate: $25.58 per hour
• Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

What You’ll Do

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Forklift certification opportunities available after hire

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
• Work safely around moving machinery and production equipment
