Job summary

You will support machine operators, assist with production processes, feed materials into equipment, and prepare finished goods for shipment in a fast-paced environment.

No previous manufacturing experience is required, as paid training and forklift certification opportunities are provided.

About The Opportunity

The General Laborer supports manufacturing operations by assisting with machine setup, material handling, and production across multiple departments. This role involves feeding materials into equipment, stacking finished products, and preparing items for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met. Employees are cross trained in various areas and may operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, or down stackers. Pay & Schedule

• Training Rate: $24.52 per hour
• Qualified Rate: $25.58 per hour
• Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
• Overtime opportunities available

Position Overview

Menasha Packaging is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our production team as General Laborers / Machine Assistants . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in manufacturing. No previous manufacturing experience is required. We provide paid training and opportunities for advancement, including forklift certification.

In this role, you will support machine operators, assist with production processes, and help manufacture high-quality corrugated packaging products in a safe and fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Support machine operators during production runs and equipment setup
• Feed materials into production equipment
• Remove, stack, sort, and organize corrugated products
• Band, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment
• Assist in production areas including Corrugator, Die Cut, and Joining departments
• Operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, and downstackers
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Complete required production and inventory documentation
• Help move materials and maintain production flow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and work instructions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends when needed
• Commitment to workplace safety
• Willingness to learn multiple production processes

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Forklift certification opportunities available after hire

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
• Work safely around moving machinery and production equipment
