Job summary

Menasha Packaging is hiring General Laborers / Machine Assistants for the overnight shift. You will support machine operators, feed materials, and prepare items for shipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

No previous manufacturing experience is required as paid training is provided, with forklift certification opportunities after hire. This role offers a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, training rate of $24.52/hr and qualified rate of $25.58/hr, with overtime opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operators during production runs and equipment setup.
• Feed materials into production equipment.
• Remove, stack, sort, and organize corrugated products.
• Band, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Assist in multiple production areas including Corrugator, Die Cut and Joining.
• Operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, and downstackers.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specs.
• Complete required production and inventory documentation.
• Help move materials and maintain production flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.

About The Opportunity

The General Laborer supports manufacturing operations by assisting with machine setup, material handling, and production across multiple departments. This role involves feeding materials into equipment, stacking finished products, and preparing items for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met. Employees are cross trained in various areas and may operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, or down stackers. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast‑paced environment.

Position Overview

Menasha Packaging is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our production team as General Laborers / Machine Assistants. What You’ll Do

• Support machine operators during production runs and equipment setup
• Feed materials into production equipment
• Remove, stack, sort, and organize corrugated products
• Band, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment
• Assist in production areas including Corrugator, Die Cut, and Joining departments
• Operate equipment such as balers, unitizers, and downstackers
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Complete required production and inventory documentation
• Help move materials and maintain production flow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and work instructions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math and measurement skills

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends when needed

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
• Forklift experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
• Work safely around moving machinery and production equipment
