Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a General Laborer to support multiple machine centers across shifts, performing tasks such as collating, striping and bundling while ensuring accurate counts and quality checks. You may cover for others due to illness or vacation and help set up and clean equipment as needed.

Starting wage is $27.04/hour with potential to earn up to $30/hour, with overtime possibilities and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Able to work 8–12 hours in temperatures above 90°F.
• Able to stand for 8–12 hours.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, climb and reach.
• Maintain safety and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

About The Opportunity

The General Laborer will assist the operators at various machine centers throughout the plant during the shift and fill in for partner coverage when they are out due to illness, a leave of absence or on vacation. The General Laborer will operate a variety of machines, including flexographic press, die‑cutters, slitters, folder‑gluers, corrugator, etc. Job tasks may include, but not limited to:

• collating
• striping
• bundling
• handwork
• pack outs

In addition, the general labor will be required to follow the customer specifications on the shop card to complete accurate counts on work in process. They will assist in setting up and cleaning of equipment. They will be responsible for completing thorough quality checks of product and fill out required paperwork timely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work 8-12 hours in high temperatures exceeding 90 degrees.
• Ability to stand on your feet between 8-12 hours.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb and reach.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Work hours, compensation & benefits

The starting wage for this position is $27.04/hour with opportunities to train in other positions paying up to $30/hour. This position rotates on an 8-hour shift, working Monday - Friday, rotating weekly between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. This position may be required to work overtime up to 12 hours/day or on Saturdays depending on the volume of workload. Robust benefit offerings after 30 days. Many advancement opportunities!
