This facility operates five to six days a week and produces items like Hillshire Snack packs, Jimmy Dean Breakfast bowls, and Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches.**Job Summary:** This position is responsible for ensuring materials are moved/transported throughout the facility as necessary.**Responsibilities:** * Move product as directed using pallet jacks, forklifts or other means.* Reading/reviews work orders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved, counted, weighed, put away and recorded.* Safely opens containers, using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer or other hand tools.* Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.* Cleans work area, machines and equipment, using broom, rags and other products.* Updates database records as required; participate in all department and company training sessions and meetings.* Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations.* Collaborates with cross-functional partners within facility.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Working Conditions:** * The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.* Must be willing to work in cold temperatures ranging from 20 to 36 degrees.* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.* Assist in stocking and on assembly line on a regular basis, lifting to 90lbs with assistance**Physical Requirements**Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation* Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, twist, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.* Must be willing and able to lift, push, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. in many areas of production.* Must be willing to work in cold temperatures ranging from 20 to 36 degrees.* Ability to safely operate foot and hand controls with good hand-eye coordination.* Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment and frequently twist/turns to check surroundings.* Ability to repeatedly climb in and out of forklift equipment.* Ability to maintain the level of awareness necessary to safely operate a forklift around people, equipment, and moving vehicles, with or without reasonable accommodation* Candidates must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.**Experience and Education:** Applicants must show six (6) months of forklift experience at one employer in the past 36 months.
