Job summary

Carpenter Co. is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Driver for the 3rd shift at our Temple, TX manufacturing plant. You will operate powered industrial trucks to move materials and keep Carpet Cushion operations flowing from production to loading docks.

Initial 4–6 weeks of training on 1st shift while the team is onboarded. We seek candidates with a high school diploma, forklift experience or certification, basic computer skills, and clear English communication to support safe, efficient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience or ability to pass company certification.
• Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Measurement proficiency to read a basic tape measure.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely in production areas and loading docks.
• Retrieve and transport raw materials and finished goods to support operations.
• Organize inventory according to the department layout plan.
• Label materials accurately and document partial blocks for future use.
• Maintain a neat, hazard-free work environment and follow safety standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
