Job summary

The Fresh Factory is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate all manufacturing activities for fresh food products on-site in Downers Grove. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, with bilingual Spanish-English requirements and a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in food manufacturing required.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
• Food Handlers Certificate required; forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with data analysis and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Physical requirements: lift/move up to 25 lbs; stand for long periods; wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Production Oversight: Direct daily operations to meet production targets within specified timeframes.
• Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of 5+ direct reports.
• Process Management: Oversee the flow of materials and processes, inspect for efficiency and quality.
• Record Keeping: Complete and submit required reports and documentation at shift end.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with engineering, operations, safety, QA, logistics, and finance.
