Job summary

• Read manuals and schedules; order parts and schedule jobs; maintain GMP.
• Maintain safety policies and report issues to the maintenance manager.
• Use Microsoft Office to track parts and jobs.

The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a 3rd Shift Food Industry Maintenance Tech to work at a company located in the Des Plaines, IL area!

Job Title: 1st and 3rd FOOD INDUSTRY MAINTENANCE TECH
Job Location: Des Plaines, IL
Salary: Salary Pay range depending tier/experience - $26.90 to $41.45 depending on experience
Maintenance I Pay Rate: $26.90
Maintenance II Pay Rate: $33.50
Maintenance III Pay Rate: $37.20
Maintenance IV Pay Rate: $41.45
Shift: Monday through Friday + Weekends as Needed 1st shift - 4am - 1:30pm 3rd shift - 9pm - 5:30am
Bilingual - English/Spanish Preferred

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

90% mechanical and 10% electrical. Looking for a mechanic/technician Must be from food manufacturing - co-packaging industry Refrigeration experience - a bonus Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager. Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs. Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) at all times. Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age. Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus. Able to communicate and take direction from Sanitation Manager and communicate effective with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager. Attention to detail. Legible record-keeping and data entry skills. Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, tree phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drives.
