Job summary

The JobSquad Solutions Team is seeking a 3rd Shift- Food Industry Maintenance Tech in Melrose Park, IL to help keep production running and minimize downtime. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in maintenance, a strong electrical background with PLCs, and experience with high-speed packaging machinery in a bakery/food environment.

Must be able to lift 60 pounds, stand long hours, and work overtime including weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience.
• Must have strong electrical background PLC, working with highspeed packaging machinery and automation.
• 2-5 years' working in the industrial bakery or food manufacturing environment.
• Responsible for production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Knowledgeable in set up, adjustment, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment used in the production facility.
• Must have electrical and mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in supporting equipment (such as ovens, packing lines, conveyors) plumbing, pneumatic hydraulics, and cutting.
• Electrical, PLC Diagnostics, Welding MIG, TIG, Stick a plus.
• Strong Mechanical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
• Service-oriented (responsive)
• Great communicator, process-oriented, methodical

Job Location

Pay Rate

$30 to $40 p/hr depending on experience

Shift

8 hours a day - 6 days a week but will work overtime if needed and Saturday and Sunday 10-12 hours one will work Sat and will work Sunday 40 hours a week and maybe some weekends
