Job summary

PPL Electric Utilities is seeking a Supervisor for transmission and distribution work in the Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Lehigh regions. This 3rd shift role (2100-0700, 8 days on, 6 days off) will supervise line crews operating overhead and underground facilities, ensuring safe, reliable power delivery and timely storm restoration.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of electrical or mechanical operations and maintenance experience, or an equivalent mix of education

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in electricity or mechanical operations/maintenance.
• Strong safety culture and knowledge of regulations and procedures.
• Experience in supervising field crews and coordinating work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital and O&M work in the service area.
• Respond to storm restoration efforts and lead crews during emergencies.
• Coordinate with field designers to develop designs within approved hours.
• Enforce safe working practices and train subordinates.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable, cost-effective work.
• Schedule resources to meet operational demands and emergencies.
• Conduct tailboards and communicate safety plans and company policies.
• Lead and mentor staff to meet performance expectations.
• Coordinate schedules with customers, utilities, and contractors.
• Complete administrative processes timely (reviews, audits, etc.).
• Comply with policies and standards.
• Oversee on-site supervision to ensure wage/hour compliance where applicable.
