Job summary

PPL Electric Utilities is seeking a Supervisor to oversee transmission and distribution line crews across the Harrisburg, Lancaster and Lehigh regions. The role focuses on safe, efficient operations with after-hours storm response as needed.

The successful candidate will manage schedules, enforce safety rules, and coordinate with field designers to deliver reliable service. A Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of electrical or mechanical operations and maintenance.
• Experience with energized/deenergized facilities and switching/tagging procedures.
• Knowledge of training, clearances, and working space requirements.
• Valid in-state driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews on overhead and underground transmission and distribution facilities.
• Respond to storm restoration efforts and lead crew in restoring facilities.
• Coordinate with field and G.O. designers to develop designs within approved hours.
• Enforce safe working practices per safety rules and train subordinates.
• Provide customer satisfaction by cost-effective work practices.
• Schedule resources to meet customer requirements during normal and storm operations.
• Lead daily tailboards and communicate safety plans.
• Coach and develop employees to meet job expectations.
• Coordinate work schedules with internal/external customers and contractors.
• Ensure timely completion of admin processes like reviews, labor agreements, crew audits, Time & Labor.
• May supervise on-site or remotely; adapt to after-hours during storms.
• Perform other duties and comply with policies.
